Been playing a bit of Monsterpocalypse with my son, and wondering if there's anyone else playing...

There was a lot of Monsterpocalypse going on at Gaelcon - looked like people were having fun (and opening boosters too )
I wonder if it's going to be a 1-year flash-in-the-pan like that Pirates game...

What is Monsterpocalypse?

Or if you don't want to browse the website, it's a collectible miniatures game involving giant monsters and stomping buildings and each other. You get big monsters, small monsters and buildings.

Both my son and I are big Kaiju (Godzilla) movie heads, so it was a natural growth for us.

And yeah - there was a lot of it floating around Gaelcon this year. Is it me or there a "big game" at Gaelcon each year? I remember 1994 was the year of M:tG, and then there was the Pirates year and the 3D chess year... No way of telling how big the game's gonna get, or if it's gonna crash and burn...

6 of the lads in DGG got together and bought an entire case of the stuff. According to a source in PP it meant you got at least 1 of every model released so each of them got a complete army for about €40-50. They say its lots of fun and as they are prepainted and assembled you can play straight out of the box.
